INFORMATION

HS2 Facts:

• Hs2 network will be 330 miles long.
• Phase 1 of HS2 is predicted to boost 40,000 jobs.
• The route will go from London to Birmingham.
• This will be one of the fastest speed trains [1].
• Construction is planned to start in 2017.
• Phase-1 is scheduled to begin to 2026 and Phase-2 in 2033.
• It will only take 20 minutes to reach stations in Leeds, Sheffield, East Midlands and Birmingham.
• Every hour apx. 18 trains will be running, carrying over 1,100 passengers.
• The targeted costs for Phase-1 from london to Birmingham is  £17.16 billion.
• HS2 will connect 8 of Britain's cities [2].
